[ After waking up in the grass (what), shaking out her hair and trying to gather her bearings, she flips open the journal. The first page of the book isn't an explanation, which is annoying. Nevertheless, she hits a few buttons, just to figure out what the hell they do, including the voice function, all while muttering to herself. ] --useless piece of trash, is what this is, I don't-- [ pause for staring ] What is this thing doing-- [ silence, then quietly: ] Oh, it's--

[ She straightens where she's sitting on the ground and speaks deliberately: ] Whatever joke this is, whatever is going on, whoever is responsible for these-- these shenanigans, I will find you and I will-- [ a pause. I can't earthbend their faces into the ground. ] -- and you will regret it, because I will-- [ pause, fumbling for words ] -- I don't need to bend to make you regret this! I'm the Chief of-- former Chief of Republic City's Metalbending Police Force, and I will find a way to make you regret this.

[ She shuts up, finally realizing the wings on her back. What. ] Why do I have wings? That's just-- never mind, it doesn't matter. [ a pause ] How do you turn this thing off? [ More glaring, more button mashing, finally just hits it against the ground to shut it off. ]

AUNT LIN! [ hello Lin welcome to Luceti, have SQUEALING in your ear isn't that nice ] You're here! Oh don't try to hurt the wings 'cause if they come off you die which is bad. What colour are yours I can't see!!!!

Also this isn't a joke, this is Luceti, and I dunno who's responsible but it wasn't me and also where are you I'll come find you are you okay don't hurt your journal or your wings I'll bring chocolate!

[ Lin's eyebrows shoot up-- Ikki? WHAT. The last she saw of the little airbender was when Lin had leapt off of Oogi-- except Ikki'd been less squealy then, given the bleak circumstances.

And where or what was Luceti?]

Ikki? What-- [ Hmm, to ask what's going on or what she's talking about? She decides neither. ] Where are your parents?

[ Ikki shrugs. ] Back home, I guess. Only Jinora and me are here, and also Asami, from our time. But it's okay 'cause I'm staying with Grandpa and Katara, and I have a room to share with Jinora!

I'll come find you! What's nearby? I dunno this place that well yet but I can get high enough to look I think!

Back home? [ But she'd just been on the island-- no one except for Amon and the Equalists. Either she'd been unconscious longer than she'd thought at first or Tenzin and Pema just foolishly went back after getting away. And that still didn't explain where she was.

She paused, trying to figure out what in the spirits was going on. She decided she'd ignore that all for a moment. ]

I'm-- I'll just show you. [ Figures out the video and directs the book away from her, panning the area. Grassy, trees, and a bridge over a river nearby. ] Wherever this is.

Yep, not on this world. 'Cause this isn't our world. Bending's a lot weaker here, for one thing, like by half, but it's okay 'cause I have practice with Grandpa every day 'cause it's a rule.

[ Oh, okay, Ikki thinks she can find that place. It'll just take her a bit, and she has to let people know where she's going. Because House Rules. Of course her location might be given at the top of her lungs rather than in person, so uh. But she does take her journal, of course.

If Lin watches the video she can see Ikki running along, occasionally hopping into a useful tree to get a better vantage point. ]

[ Bending's a lot weaker here-- not that Lin could tell, bendingless as she was. ] How long have you been here?

[ Lin watches the video, eyebrow raised through-out. I have to be found by a seven-year-old. I'm the former Chief of Police and I have to be found by a seven-year-old because I have no clue where I am. What had her life just become? ]

Today's the sixth, so - three days! They have calendars here, so you know Luecti time. It's July sixth! [ Ikki's still bouncing along as she talks. ]

[ It takes her a bit, but she eventually spots the familiar figure of Lin Bei Fong, and stows her journal, cutting the video feed. ] Aunt Lin!

[ Luceti time. Riiiight. Lin begins to ask how that even made sense, but by then she hears Ikki's voice from a non-book source as the video cuts away. She set the journal aside, standing from where she'd been sitting on the grass, hand on her hip and frowning.

Ikki looks like, well, Ikki. And looked real-- Lin hadn't helped but wonder if she was hallucinating a talking book with the little airbender's voice and moving picture in it. ]

Hello, Ikki. [ When did I become "Aunt Lin"? She looks over the girl automatically, scanning for any signs of hurt-- the last time she'd seen her hadn't exactly been under safe conditions, after all. But had the kid been in this crazy place for three days without her parents? ] You haven't been here for three days on your own, have you?

[ Ikki threw her arms around Lin without warning, giving her a quick hug before backing off, her hands clasped behind her back as she bounced up and down in place, a little overexcited.

Her grin slipped into a slight frown when Lin spoke. ] No-o. I told you! I'm staying with Grandpa and Katara and Uncle Sokka and Aunt Toph and Uncle Roku and Uncle Zuko!
